I am in Alaska

It seems like the preparation took forever,  then there is the travel, but at long last I arrived.  Inauspicious  on a delayed flight, with only a carry on bag.

First night I stayed at a delightful hotel near the airport.  At breakfast in the morning a few locals joined in conversation and instantly made all there feel welcome.

Now the best. The apartment is not scary. It is very close to everything.  The manager is an angel from heaven who watches out for everyone.

The above photo is from the parking lot of my building and a truly impressive sight. Where ever I go in the area,  this is the backdrop.

I think I’m gonna like it here.
