It’s A Quilt Show

It has been a couple of years since I had the joy of attending a quilt show. There have been a number of virtual shows, but it certainly is not the same. There is joy in the visual of the work, the skill and the choices made by each quilter. This was wonderful to see over 400 quilts in one space.

I have photos of just a few. I hope you enjoy them. The first was judged best in show of the large quilts. I have a full shot and a couple of closeups.

None of these are my quilts nor do I know who made them. It is just a small sampling of the beauty that was available at the Mountain Quiltfest this year.

Best in show, large.

  1. I’m not much for quilting, but awhile ago I blogged on a Museum in Wisconsin. It’s actually an interesting subject, since it was borne of necessity and became a hobby for many. I like the post!

    1. Thanks. I think we can all appreciate the beauty in the work of many of yesterday’s and today’s artisans. Gives us a chance to appreciate other people’s skills. Where did you see the quilts, I will have to check it out.
