Thursday Doors – Ukraine

These are streets of Ukrainian Village, a neighborhood in Chicago that people from there settled into many years ago.

One of the streets with both flags on many homes.
The flags outside the meeting hall of the church.
Main entrance doors for the Ukrainian Cathedral.
Sign in front of church.

As you walk any of the streets the flags are everywhere and the ties to country are very real. The pride is obvious on the faces of the people here, along with the fear. I am grateful to be here at this historic moment. #thursdaydoors-ukranianvillageinchicago

  1. What a lovely and fitting post for the times we live in. The courage of these people is inspirational. It also focusses on how important freedom is, to the ones who have been oppressed before.
