About

Hi, my name is Kathy and I turned 70 in 2016. I am a crafty, creative and curious person. My curiosity, just like the cat, often gets me in trouble, but that does not seem to stop me. I love to travel and try new foods, all things quilty and meet new people. Someone recently told me the best way to prepare for your retirement is to say yes. If a friend calls and suggests an outing, say yes. If one calls and needs help, say yes. If you get that call as a taster for a new food, say yes. Or, if someone suggest an unplanned trip to Guatemala with no luggage or hotel, say yes.

I think I am the personification of that say yes attitude.

I fiercely love my family and friends. Love my original home town, and, all those newer home towns that lead up to the latest one. My journeys have allowed me to live in various parts of the USA. I was lucky enough to work in Anchorage, Alaska for the summer of 2016. This gave me a chance to explore more of Alaska than my previous three or four short trips there. I hope to remain open to suggestions of where to go and what to see as well as what new foods to try. Thus begins the year of my turning 70, who knows where it will end.

I have retired from a couple of jobs , so I have a little bit of flexibility with my ability to relocate fairly easy. As one of my friends kindly told me after the 3rd full-time job, ” you haven’t quite figured out this retirement thing.” I would like to invite you to join me in this years adventures, or suggest a new adventure for me whatever that may be..

  1. I am retired and having hobbies like languages, travel and photographing. My wife is retired also and she has many hobbies, like, beading, knitting, crochet and quilting. Busy life, but wonderful.
